Tata Altroz
Being Tata’s latest model, the Altroz has lived up to the manufacturer’s expectations as being a rival for Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Honda Jazz. The Tata Altro is a good-looking and well-proportioned hatchback with its design based on ALFA, a new modular platform. Instead of getting a swooping shape that other Tata cars possess, the Altroz has a unique face with a more cliff-like shape which makes it dynamic and edgy. In addition, the rear-end cutout, a downward belt-line and the widened wheel arches also bring about a sportier look for the Altroz. The interior of the Tata Altroz looks cluttered with large seating, spacious knee room and little redundant details. In terms of equipment, there are some outstanding features such as a dual-tone dashboard, a semi-digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio controls, a keyless entry, cruise control and an ambient lighting system.
The Altroz offers customers either diesel and petrol engine options, and both of which are BS6 compliant and are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. While the 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 86PS/113Nm, the diesel one outperforms slightly with 90PS/200Nm.
Those who are interested in the Tata Altroz can choose among five variants: XT, XE, XM, XZ and XZ(O). The Tata Altroz is priced in the range from Rs. 5.29 lakh to Rs. 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Tata Tiago
Having been launched for a while, the new versions of the Tata Tiago have undergone some changes in design, which reflects the Impact 2.0’ design language. Inside, the cabin of the Tata Tiago is also updated with the inspiration from the premium sibling – Altroz. Some notable interior features of Tata Tiago are premium seat upholstery, an 8-speaker surround sound system, and a high-speed alarm system.
In terms of engine and performance, Tata Tiago only uses BS6-compliant 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 83bhp at 6000rpm and 113Nm of peak torque at 3300rpm. It offers drivers 2 options of transmission - a standard five-speed manual and AMT automatic transmission.
The Tiago comes to the market with seven variants: XT, XE, XZ, XZ+, XZ+DT, XZA, XZA+ and is priced between Rs 4.6 lakh and Rs 6.6 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The cabin is also properly furnished with a three-tone layout, a modern dashboard, and technology-connected equipment such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a tyre-pressure monitoring system and a digital instrument cluster.
Customers can choose between 2 engine options that are a BS6-compliant: a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Both engines produce impressive output figures in terms of power performance - 110PS for the diesel engine and 120PS for the petrol one.
