IAB Weekly Retrospect - Tata Zest, Kite, Maruti SX4 S-Cross and VW Polo facelift

1. Tata Zest 1.2T Revotron Petrol - Review
The Tata Zest is the first and only compact sedan to feature a turbocharged petrol engine. We sample the newest Tata on the block to see how good it is.
2. Tata Zest Diesel - Review
The Diesel-AMT is another first in segment feature on the Tata Zest. We test the Zest AMT to check whether it has got what it takes to top its class.
3. Tata Kite
The Tata Kite (codename) small car which is another important launch for the Indian automaker's efforts to bounce back, has been spotted testing for the first time. Based on an extensively re-engineered version of the Indica's platform, the Kite would be ready next year and is to be produced alongside the Tata Nano at the Sanand factory.
4. Maruti SX4 S-Cross
IAB reader Mr. Tarun Sharma has spotted the Maruti SX4 S-Cross testing. The compact crossover which is slated to tussle with the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano would be launched in early 2015.
5. VW Polo facelift
The VW Polo facelift has been launched at a starting price of INR 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). While the petrol lineup is retained, a new 1.5-litre diesel engine in two states of tune replaces the 1.2-litre and 1.6-litre mills of the older car.
