IAB Weekly Retrospect - VW Polo facelift, Scorpio facelift, Tata Zest, DC Avanti

1. VW Polo facelift 1.5L TDI - First Drive

The VW Polo facelift brings to the table a brand new 1.5-litre diesel engine and another worthy alternative to the Maruti Swift. We take a quick spin to know how improved the new oil burner is over the outgoing 1.2-litre motor.

2. Mahindra Scorpio facelift

The Mahindra Scorpio facelift is testing continuously ahead of its launch. Indian Autos Blog learns that the refreshed SUV would be launched in the September to November period.

3. Tata Zest

The order book of the eagerly anticipated Tata Zest compact sedan was opened on Saturday with a booking amount of INR 21,000 for both petrol and diesel versions. Tata is yet to reveal variant details, mileage, or the pricing of the sub-4 metre sedan.

4. Honda Mobilio

The Honda Mobilio compact MPV is scheduled to be launched on July 23. The latest Honda is available with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova are the intended targets.

5. DC Avanti

India's first supercar, the DC Avanti, has been spotted testing twice this week suggesting that the launch is around the corner. The low slung Avanti is powered by a 250 bhp 2.0-litre Ford EcoBoost engine, and will retail at INR 25 - 30 lakh.
