The third generation Perodua Myvi is expected to debut this year. Automotive designer Irfendy Mohamad has created renderings previewing the 2018 Perodua Myvi’s design.

The rendering of the 2018 Perodua Myvi is created based on the Toyota Passo/Daihatsu Boon duo.

Reports suggest that the all-new Perodua Myvi will use the Toyota Passo/Daihatsu Boon as its basis. Going with that speculation, Irfendy Mohamad has rendered the 2018 Perodua Myvi based on the duo of Japanese small cars.

The rendered 2018 Perodua Myvi has a unique front and rear to set itself apart from the Japanese cars and belong to the Perodua family. Its front-end is sharper and features more dynamic bumper design and sloping headlights with LED signature lights sort of connected to the prominent radiator grille via chrome inserts. At the rear, the bumper looks sportier with squarish outer ends, and two more changes from the Japanese small cars include inverted license plate housing and larger tail lamps extending further into the tailgate.

The 2018 Perodua Myvi's engine options will likely include the 1NR-VE 1.3-litre and the 2NR-FE 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i units.

Perodua will likely offer the 2018 Perodua Myvi with the Perodua Bezza’s 1NR-VE 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i engine and the 2NR-FE 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i engine from the Toyota Vios. Transmission choices should include 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. Key features may include Eco Idle engine auto stop/start system, engine push-start, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, power-folding mirrors, 60:40 split rear seats, parking camera and sensors, ABS with EBD & BA, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control and Hill-Start Assist.

The 2018 Perodua Myvi will reportedly enter production this month. Sales could commence in November.
