Toyota C-HR compact SUV photographed in the flesh - Spied
Toyota's Turkish plant will produce the compact SUV.
Seen here are the first images of the Toyota C-HR compact SUV outside its Geneva Motor Show debut. Two C-HRs are seen in these images: One in white, and one with a dual-tone color scheme. Both cars have their badges/logos covered though.
The C-HR is Toyota's second product on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) architecture. It will enter production at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey (TMMT) in Sakarya, Turkey, while the hybrid engine will be manufactured at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK’s engine plant in Deeside, Wales.
The C-HR will be powered by the new Prius's hybrid powertrain which claims a 40 percent thermal efficiency. It will also be offered with a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine delivering 115 hp with a 6-speed manual or a CVT. The latter will be made available in two- and four-wheel drive versions. For select markets, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a CVT will be available.

Aside from its coupe-like looks, the Toyota C-HR receives full LED headlights with light guides, sequential turn signals, contrast roof options, and 'disguised' rear door handles. The original exterior design of the C-HR was created in Toyota's design center in California, however, the car is a result of collaboration between three design centers headed by Project Chief Designer, Kazuhiko Isawa, in Japan.
