The images give a better look at the radical design of the C-HR on public roads. It measures 4,350 mm long, 1,795 mm wide, 1,550 mm tall, and has a 2,640 mm wheelbase. The C-HR rides on Toyota's TNGA global platform, which also underpins the fourth generation Toyota Prius.

The interior of the Toyota C-HR also follows the urban, sporty theme of its exterior, featuring generous curves and a handful of buttons that culminate to form a simple and contemporary interior design. It trades practicality for a futuristic and sporty interior that would appeal to young car buyers.

The C-HR is available with two petrol engines and one hybrid powertrain option. The top-end petrol variant packs a 2.0L N/A petrol engine producing 148 hp and 193 Nm of torque, paired to a CVT as standard. The hybrid powertrain combines a 72 kW (97 hp) 1.8-litre petrol engine with a 53 kW (71 hp) electric motor.
