Bangkok Live - Toyota Corolla Altis ESport, Altis TRD Edition
Toyota have showcased three variants of the Corolla Altis in Thailand - the standard Corolla Altis, the Corolla Altis ESport and the Corolla Altis TRD edition.
Toyota Corolla Altis ESport
The Toyota Corolla Altis ESport (E is for Excellence) that was launched in Thailand a few weeks earlier, received its motor show debut in Bangkok today.
Indian readers would know that TKM had brought the new Corolla Altis to the Auto Expo and commenced bookings for a market launch in May.
Price positioned at the top of the variant chart, the Altis ESport is fully laden with external and interior add-ons. Additionally, the car's suspension is stiffened for a sportier ride.
In contrast to the regular Altis, the Altis ESport gets a different radiator grille featuring a “Gun Metallic” strip, an aero body kit, LED projector headlights with LED infusion, “Surface Illumination” rear LED lights and 17-inch alloy wheels. Also seen are an under-body diffuser and aerodynamic fins for sportiness.
The cabin is draped with an all-black leather upholstery, and is appointed with padded front seats, 4-way adjustable steering with controls for audio, paddle shifters behind the steering, 6-speaker sound system, auto air-conditioning, and a “jack-knife” key.
Power is derived from a 1,798 cc four-cylinder engine that puts out 141 PS @ 6,000 RPM and 18.05 kgm @ 4,000 RPM. It is transferred via a 7-speed (stepped) CVT.
The Corolla Altis ESport is priced at 899,000 baht (17.09 lakh rupees).

Toyota Corolla Altis TRD Sportivo
Toyota have also showcased the TRD Sportivo body kit at the exhibition.
While details are limited, the vehicle receives a rear spoiler, diffuser, bumper skirts with integrated reflectors, twin-spoke alloy wheels, side skirts and LED daytime running lights.
