The Toyota Corolla Furia Concept was revealed at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and the chief reason for the creation of the concept, as Toyota reasons, is to premiere styling cues one can expect on the next generation Corolla.

The exterior styling study reveals a compact car that is dramatic and expressively designed, a priority from now on for Toyota's designers. Its theme is "Iconic Dynamism" that uses simple surface elements to make a recognizable design. Its wheels are pushed to the four corners, it has short overhangs and a long wheelbase.

The Corolla Furia Concept is an early indicator of where our compact car design may lead in the future. It blends a heightened emphasis on dramatic design and modern elements of high technology to generate curb appeal that will surprise a lot of people.

The Toyota Corolla Furia Concept is designed to communicate a sense of motion even while stationary, a trick that BMW designers have tried in the past. The LED treatment is given to both the headlamps and the tail lamps while carbon fiber inserts are placed along the wheel wells, rear valance and rocker panels.
