Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the Toyota Etios Liva Dual Tone Limited edition in select Indian markets. A 1.2-liter engine powers the Etios Liva petrol, and the diesel uses a 1.4-liter unit, both get a 5-speed MT only.

Changes on the limited edition Etios Liva are purely cosmetic. The exterior sees a base white colour themed with red streaks for the grille, foglight bezels, door handles, bootlid garnish and side decals. A contrasting painted black roof, pillars and ORVMs are also seen which are factory made (unlike many special editions where the manufacturer/dealer wraps the part), according to Toyota. The Etios Liva dual tone limited edition is available only in this shade (Super White).

Inside, the hatchback is given an all-black interior with red accents on the dashboard, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, red accents for the gear knob and AC vents and a 6.8-inch touchscreen entertainment system with reverse camera. All variants of the Etios Liva get dual front airbags, ABS, EBD and ISOFIX child seat tethering points.

In February this year, a report stated that TKM was working on facelifts for the Etios sedan and Liva hatchback. Another report stated that TKM would upgrade these products to meet future crash test norms, and make them BS-6 compliant, as they continue bringing volumes in the commercial segment. Private buyers however can look forward to the Toyota-badged Maruti Baleno which is scheduled to launch in mid-2019.
