50% of Toyota Innova Crysta buyers opt for 2.8L AT; 95% are personal buyers - Report
Currently has a two month waiting period.
Speaking to Financial Express, Mr. N Raja, senior vice-president & director of Marketing & Sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, has divulged that 50 percent of Toyota Innova Crysta buyers opted for the 2.8L AT variant, while 95% of its customers are personal buyers.
The percentage of customers buying the Innova as a personal car has significantly increased over the previous generation MPV (70% of buyers bought the previous generation Innova for personal use). One of the factors could be the expensive price tag of the Innova Crysta, which wouldn't satisfy the price-value equation sought by taxi operators.
The Innova Crysta is Toyota's torch bearer for this year. In July, Toyota sold 7,800 units of the Toyota Innova Crysta, accounting for a major extent of the overall domestic sales of 12,404 units, which is a 2.76 percent increase over the same month last year. With the diesel ban lifted in Delhi NCR, one of TKM's most important region, expect more volumes to roll out from its factory in Karnataka.
