Toyota Innova Crysta patented in China
Could be in the pipeline for launch in China.
Toyota has filed a patent application for the new Toyota Innova in China, suggesting that the second generation MPV is in the pipeline for launch.
If launched, the China-spec Toyota Innova will be locally manufactured by the GAC-Toyota JV in Guangzhou. This would be the first time that the ladder-frame based Toyota Innova would be launched in China - appealing to mass market with generous interior space and a long list of features.
The dimensions will be identical to the Innova Crysta sold in India, measuring 4,735 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, 1,795 mm tall, and a 2,750 mm long wheelbase. It is based on Toyota's new IMV platform shared with the new Hilux and Fortuner sold in other markets.
