Auto Expo Live - Triumph Daytona 675 launched at INR 10.1 lakhs
Triumph have launched their 11th motorcycle in India at the ongoing Auto Expo. The new bike is the Daytona 675. The company had earlier launched the Daytona 675 R at INR 11.4 lakhs.
The Daytona 675 is powered by the same in-line three cylinder 12 valve liquid cooled DOHC 675 cc engine. The engine develops a healthy 131 PS and has a peak torque of 74 Nm. The Daytona 675 gets a multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection with twin injectors, forced air induction and SAI.
The Daytona 675 measures 2,045 mm in length, handlebar to handlebar width of 695 mm and height, sans mirrors, of 1,112 mm. It gets a wheelbase of 1,375 mm and has a wet weight (including fuel) of 184 kg. The bike is built on an aluminium beam twin spar at front and 2 piece high pressure die cast at the rear. The braced two-sided swingarm is made of aluminium alloys and comes with an adjustable pivot position.
Kayaba upside down forks with an adjustable preload and a compressing damping are present for the front suspension assembly while a Kayaba monoshock adjustable for rebound is found on the rear.
It also gets a Nissin 4-piston radial black calipers with a switcheable ABS model that's also available at the front and a single 220 mm Brembo disc at the back.
The Dayton 675 is priced at INR 10.15 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. Models such as the Daytona, Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Street Triple, Speed Triple and Thruxton are locally assembled at Triumph India's plant located in Manesar. By next month, the company aims to have 9 dealers in place.
Triumph also announced the start of bookings for all models in New Delhi and Chennai.
