According to the media house, Triumph will be launching a new motorcycle this month, but there isn’t an official word as to which motorcycle it is. The Street Scrambler is an off-road centric take on Triumph’s modern classic, the Street Twin. The Scrambler gets dual-purpose Metzeler Tourance Tyres tyres which wrap the 19-inch front, and 17-inch rear spoke wheels.

The suspension is by KYB, and the front-end uses a 41 mm telescopic fork with 120 mm of travel. The rear uses twin KYB shocks with adjustable preload, offering 120 mm of wheel travel. Both the front and rear suspension are longer than the one in the Street Twin, for increased ground clearance. The Scrambler employs a single 310 mm front and a 255 mm rear disc with Nissin two-piston calliper. ABS is switchable. The Scrambler's ergonomics are tuned for easier stand-up riding, thanks to forward set footpegs and wider handlebars.

The Scrambler sources the 900 cc parallel twin engine with liquid cooling from the Street Twin. However, it produces the maximum torque earlier in the rev-range for better off-road ability. The peak power of 55 PS comes in at 6,000 rpm, and the maximum torque of 80 Nm arrives at just 2,850 rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed unit with assist clutch for easier lever pull.
