TVS Apache RR 310 price hiked

TVS Motor Company has hiked the price of its flagship product, the TVS Apache RR 310. Earlier, the ex-showroom, Delhi price was INR 2,15,000 and now the price stands at INR 2,23,000.

The brand launched the bike in December, last year.

TVS is yet to put out an official statement regarding the price hike. The price of the bike has remained the same in the state of Kerala, at INR 1,99,999, ex-showroom, Calicut and Cochin. The TVS Apache RR 310 is the brand’s first fully-faired motorcycle. The bike comes with bi-LED headlights, LED tail lamp and indicators. Instrumentation is fully digital and multifunctional.

Powering the TVS Apache RR 310 is a 312.2 cc single cylinder DOHC mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant generates 34 PS at 9,700 rpm, and 27.3 Nm at 7,700 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission. The bike can reach a claimed top-speed of 160 kmph.

TVS is also reportedly open to the prospect of a twin-cylinder motorcycle, but has no plans as of now.

The motorcycle rides on 41 mm upside-down cartridge-type front forks and a rear pre-load adjustable monoshock by KYB with Monotube floating piston technology. Brakes include a 300 mm front and a 240 mm rear petal disc with dual-channel ABS. Weighing at 169.5 kg, kerb, the bike has an 11-litre fuel tank. The only faired rival of the bike in its price segment is the KTM RC 390.
