TVS Apache RR 310S exhaust note revealed [Video]

The TVS Apache RR 310S’s powertrain traces its origins to the BMW G310R.

A test unit of the TVS Apache RR 310S has been spied by YouTube user Street Fyterz, giving us the first hints of the exhaust note of the bike.

The bike was showcased first at the 2016 Auto Expo in the form of the TVS Akula 310 which pays tribute to TVS Racing. The factory racing team has been enriching Indian motorsports with talent for more than 3 decades now.

The throaty exhaust note of the TVS Apache RR 310S while idling is akin to the TVS Apache RTR series which has some of the best sounding exhaust notes in the segment. The bike will focus on usable power and is expected to have a healthy low and mid-range. New spy images have revealed that the TVS Apache RR 310S will red line at around 9,000 rpm which means that the powerplant will be in a different tune than the BMW G310R.

The 34 hp power output of the BMW G310R peaks at 9,500 rpm hence the maximum output of the TVS Apache RR 310S can now be expected to be slightly lower. The bike though will be loaded with features. The long list includes upside down fork up front, petal disc brakes at both ends, ABS, LCD instrumentation, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, monoshock rear suspension, LED taillamp and Michelin Pilot Street tyres (as seen on test units so far).

The TVS Apache RR 310S will continue with the legacy of the TVS Apache RTR family with a healthy low and mid-range.

The TVS Apache RR 310S is expected to be launched around August 2017 and will be pitted against the KTM RC200.
