TVS Apache RTR 160 and 180 get a new matte blue colour - IAB Report
To be launched shortly.
TVS Motor Company is set to introduce matte blue versions of the TVS Apache RTR 160 and 180. The former had been spotted at a dealership earlier this month, and the latter is updated on the Apache's microsite as a "Matte Blue Edition".
TVS has confirmed to IndianAutosBlog the introduction of matte blue body colour in both, RTR 160 and 180 models, but hasn't commented on the launch plans.
ArrayApart from the new body shade, there is no apparent change in both models. The respective liveries are also carried over to the new variants. The matte blue shade should be available in ABS and non-ABS versions of the RTR 180. The RTR 160 is on sale in only one version which doesn't have ABS.
The Apache RTR 180 is usually offered in two colours - white and black, while the lower displacement model is usually available in five colours - white, grey, black, yellow and red. Last year, the company introduced a matte black version of the RTR 180.
The RTR 160 is powered by a 159.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with IDI-Dual mode digital ignition, that produces 15.2 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 13.1 Nm at 4,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The RTR 180 is propelled by a 177.4 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with a similar IDI-Dual mode digital ignition, that dishes out 17.03 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm, coupled with a 5-speed transmission.
