The technical specifications of the TVS Apache 200 4V have been leaked online via MaxAbout, ahead of its premiere and Indian launch on January 20.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has a kerb weight of 148 kg.

The TVS Apache 200 is powered by a 197.75 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with an oil-cooler that produces 20.23 hp (15.09 KW) at 8,500 rpm and 18.1 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The power-to-weight ratio is states as 0.1019 KW/kg which implies that the kerb weight of the model is 148 kg.

The motor with a bore diameter of 66 mm and stroke length of 57.8 mm (therefore having a bore-to-stroke ratio of 1.14), has a Single Over Head Camshaft that governs four valves. The engine is carbureted and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The ignition system is a Dual Mode Digital (IDI) unit and the motorcycle gets only a self-start. The idle speed of the engine is mentioned as 1,400 rpm with a tolerance of +200 rpm.

The Apache 200 will compete with the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 and the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS FI, and not the KTM Duke 200.

The 2016 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V gets a standard fork, monoshock, petal disc brakes at the front and rear, split seats, fully digital instrument console and a mono halogen head lamp with LED DRLs at its top corners.
