Could get a 250 cc variant.

The next generation TVS Apache has been snapped testing. It is identified to be the next Apache first by the TVS lettering on the crankcase, and then by its physical features underneath the camouflage that resemble the TVS Draken X21 concept that was unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.

The new Apache is expected to be launched in early-2016.

The similarities of the new TVS street fighter prototype with the Draken concept include the alloy wheel design, the flat faced and steeply raked headlamp assembly, the gold-coloured telescopic fork, the petal disc brake rotors on both wheels, the distinct fuel tank extensions, the engine cowl/belly pan, the exhaust can design, and the LED taillamp.

Other features that may be offered on the next generation Apache include a fully digital instrument cluster, and ABS as standard or optional. The prototype uses rear view mirrors that are offered on the existing Apache. It is unclear if they will be retained in the production version or swapped for a new design. It is unlikely that the new Apache will use the Draken concept's cafe racer styled mirrors.

There is no information regarding the powertrain of the upcoming Apache. The current 160 cc and 180 cc engines may be carried over, and a new 250 cc engine could be introduced as the Draken concept was showcased with a quarter litre engine on board. The current Apache models, which sell at the rate of around 22,000 units per month, may or may not be discontinued once the new model launches.
