Speaking about the milestone, KN Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO, TVS Motor Company, said:

ArrayHLX first forayed in Africa and the brand was developed to cater to tough usage conditions of commuters. We achieved this through extensive customer research, understanding of ride cycles, robust engineering and extensive field trials. This led to HLX becoming the benchmark for quality and a leader in its segment in Africa and across global markets.

Styling cues on all four variants include a round headlight at the front, 17-inch alloy wheels, flat saddle and a luggage carrier at the back. The TVS HLX 150 X comes with a tall front fender, fork gaiters and a tall windscreen for a more rugged look. The budget-friendly hardware specifications include conventional telescopic front forks and twin-sided springs at the back to perform the shock absorption tasks. The anchoring tasks are handled by drum brakes on both wheels.

The bike is claimed to return good fuel efficiency and feature a comfortable suspension setup. An onboard USB mobile charger adds to the utility value of the HLX range.

The 124.53 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor on the HLX 125 range delivers 8.1 kW or 11 hp of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of maximum torque at 5,500 rpm. The TVS HLX 150 series, on the other hand, uses a 147.49 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled mill that pumps out 8.9 kW or 12 hp of max power at 7,500 rpm and 12.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 engine revs. Both variants employ a four-speed, constant mesh gearbox.

The TVS HLX range comes with onboard USB charger while the budget-friendly hardware comprises drum brakes, conventional front forks and twin-sided springs at the back.
