TVS Ntorq 125 enters top 10 list of scooters in May 2018

TVS Ntorq 125 has entered the list of top 10 scooters sold in India in May 2018, and in the process, it has gone past the Honda Grazia. With 14,965 units sold, the Ntorq 125 has claimed 8th, while the Grazia with 12,068 units ended in 10th position.

The TVS Ntorq 125 was launched in February 2018 at INR 58,570 (Ex-Showroom Delhi). In April 2018, TVS launched two new colour option on the Ntorq 125. On the other hand, the Honda Grazia is priced from INR 59,076 (ex-showroom Delhi) and was launched in November 2017. TVS Motor Company plans to sell 2 lakh units of the Ntorq 125 in its first year of sales including exports. That said, Honda had sold close to 26,000 units of the Grazia in April 2018. In May, the scooter industry saw a dip in sales for the first time in 18 months.

The TVS Ntorq 125 has been a talking point for the company, with its sporty styling and best-in-class features. It is the only scooter to get Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation that is integrated on the digital instrument cluster. The instrument cluster on the Ntorq 125 also records top-speed, service reminder, last parked location assist and phone-battery strength display. On the other hand, the Honda Grazia gets an Eco Speed Indicator and a time clock on the digital instrument cluster.

The TVS Ntorq 125 is powered by a 125cc engine that is tuned to deliver 9.3 bhp of power and 10.5 Nm of peak torque, which is mated to CVT transmission. The Ntorq 125 has a top speed of 95 kph, while it can sprint from 0-60 kph in 9 seconds. The Honda Grazia is powered by a 124.9 cc engine that produces 8.5 bhp of power and 10.54 Nm of peak torque, mated to a V-Matic transmission. The Grazia gets a top-speed of 85 kph. While both scooters get front disc brakes, the Grazia gets it as an option while the Ntorq 125 has it as standard fitment.
