TVS Phoenix 125 axed from the Indian lineup

The TVS Phoenix 125 can be called as a replacement of the TVS Flame.

TVS Motor has not updated the TVS Phoenix 125 to meet the BSIV emission norms and has stopped production of the vehicle for the domestic market. Weak sales is cited as the reason for the discontinuation, as per web reports.

The TVS Phoenix 125 has been axed from the domestic market but is expected to continue in export markets.

The TVS Phoenix 125 is powered by a 124.53 cc single cylinder, air-cooled mill coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 11 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 114 kg for the drum setup and 116 kg for the front disc variant.

The fuel tank can store 12-litre of petrol, and the bike has a minimum ground clearance of 165 mm. Brakes for the TVS Phoenix 125 include 130 mm drum units at both ends with an optional 240 mm front petal disc. The bike is suspended over standard telescopic forks up front, and twin gas-charged springs with 5-step adjustability.

Colour options for the TVS Phoenix 125 included Black Magic, Midnight Black, Red Hot and White Night. The urban commuter is expected to remain as an export only model.

The TVS Phoenix 125 was priced at INR 52,594 for the drum brake and INR 54,617 for the front disc option (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
