Auto Expo Live - New TVS Star City+ introduced
TVS showcased an updated version of its Star City+ at the Auto Expo. The new commuter motorcycle benefits from features such as a digital speedometer, improved controls and switches, a hi-intensity headlamp, improved seats with better comfort and an aluminum grab rail set.
Power for the updated bike comes from a 110 cc four-stroke engine. On the previous Star City, this engine produces 8.18 hp at 7,500 rpm and 8.1 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. TVS have not announced the specifications of the updated bike, though we expect them to remain the same. The four-speed gearbox would also continue.
TVS announced that the bike will have its market launch in the next three to four months. The Star City brand has a consumer base of more than 4 million users, the company says.
Another TVS product that was shown at the Auto Expo, but was not launched, was the Scooty Zest. The Zest with its fresh styling and upgraded engine is expected to go on sale in April this year. It will rival the likes of the Honda Activa i and Honda Dio.
