IAB Report - TVS Victor confirmed to make a comeback in 2014
The TVS Victor will be back on the roads this year in a new avatar, TVS motor Company's head of Motorcycles, Arun Siddharth, said to IAB.
Speaking at the Auto Expo, Siddharth also said that the Star City+ will be launched in March/April this year. The new Star City+ will be positioned as a 110 cc premium commuter bike that will focus on the design, said Siddharth. The bike will get a digital console and is based on the TVS Phoenix platform, with an all-new Ecothrust 110 cc engine.
"The emphasis was to tread carefully," said Siddharth. "In the commuter segment, you can't be too experimental or too safe, there's a sweet spot in between," he added.
Siddharth also mentioned that the work is on in the TVS-BMW deal and that products would be showcased in 2015. As for the Draken - X21 concept, he mentioned that that will be the direction in which the next-generations of Apache will head.
TVS also showcased the Scooty Zest and an updated Wego, with a 110 cc Ecothrust engine, both of which will be launched in the March/April period. The updated Wego will feature a digital instrument cluster, parking brake, tubeless tyres, new muffler and an econometer, apart from dual tone paint scheme. The Scooty Zest, on the other hand, will feature an updated 110 cc engine and it will aim to retain its visual design cues.
