Draken-Based TVS Apache 200 cc also included.

TVS Motors, at their recently held 23rd Annual General Meeting, announced that they would be launching three new products in the next six months. This information was given by Venu Srinivasan, Chairman of TVS Motor Company. The launches will be the born-again TVS Victor, TVS Apache 200 cc, and a four-stroke moped.

TVS showcased the Draken-X21 concept at the Auto Expo 2014. This concept will form the basis of the Apache 200 cc and will share many parts with it. Not much detail is available, but expect the bike to have a power output close to 25 bhp from a single cylinder 200 cc engine. It will directly rival the Pulsar range of 200 cc bikes from Bajaj.

The well recognized Victor nameplate will be resurrected to lift the fortunes of TVS in the entry-level commuter segment. The new Victor will probably get the existing 110 cc, air-cooled 'Ecothrust' engine found in the Star City. The motorcycle will be positioned just below the Phoenix 125 and will be tuned more towards fuel economy.

A four-stroke moped is also in the offing. This will likely be a successor to the TVS XL which still utilizes an older 70 cc two-stroke engine that is capable of 3.5 bhp and 7 Nm of torque. Last month, the XL became only the second two-wheeler to cross the 1 crore sales mark after the legendary Hero Honda Splendor. The company came out with a special edition variant to commemorate the milestone with cosmetic changes such as chrome finished grab rail and an exhaust guard with a 1 crore celebration sticker on it.

In the AGM meeting, TVS also stated that its sales increased 20.9 per cent over FY 2013-14. Its market share has increased from 11.8 to 13.2 per cent this year. With these impending launches the company is looking all set to further consolidate its position in 2016.
