TVS XL 100 launched in six more markets including Kerala - IAB Report

TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS XL 100 in six more markets now. The model was introduced in Uttar Pradesh in October 2015 and in Tamil Nadu last month. Since then the 100 cc variant of the TVS XL family has been made available in Kerala, Pondicherry, Andaman Nicobar, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttarkhand. The ex-showroom, Trivandrum price of the XL 100 is INR 29,914.

The TVS XL 100 is available in Red, Blue, Green, Grey and Black.

Offered in five colours including Black, Grey, Red, Blue and Green, the TVS XL 100 is the same moped as the existing TVS XL Super except for its powertrain. It is driven by a 99.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine that develops 4.2 PS of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 6.3 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. The XL 100 has a claimed mileage of 67 km/l and a top speed of 60 km/h, under TVS's simulated test conditions.

The TVS XL 100 is powered by a 99.7 cc air-cooled engine that generates 4.2 PS and 6.3 Nm.

The moped has a wheelbase of 1,215 mm, dry weight of 75 kg, fuel tank capacity of four litres, and a payload capacity of 130 kg. It features a telescopic spring type hydraulic fork, swingarm with hydraulic shocks, 80 mm drum brake at the front, 110 mm drum brake at the rear, and 2.5 X 16 tyres.
