Unannounced UM Adventure motorcycles spied in India again
A spy photo of two unannounced UM-branded adventure bikes has surfaced online. The new adventure duo was spotted next to a Mahindra Mojo XT300 that was seen with a front number plate, which hints that the photograph was most likely clicked in India. The same bikes were seen exactly a year ago.

The bikes in the spy shot are seen in two configurations – road and off-road. The road-biased model has 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends, while the off-road ready version uses wire-spoke wheels with a 19-inch front. Surprisingly, the road-spec model gets a beak style design, while the off-roader misses this feature. The off-road-spec model also benefits from a taller windscreen.
Unlike most of the upcoming motorcycles, the UM adventure duo in the photographs uses halogen headlight. Conventional blinkers with a clear screen sit on either side of the headlamp, while the right side of the fairing houses a USB charger. The rear-view mirrors on the road-biased model are missing, while the off-roader has round units. The cockpit isn’t visible in the photographs. UM may be seeing these models as Hero XPulse 200 duo rivals, and thus we expect to see a fully digital screen.
The saddle on the bikes is a step-up unit in a single-piece layout instead of split style. The motorcycles should get a luggage rack/top-box mount behind the seat. We hope to see more images in the future.
The mechanical specifications are not available, but we can see a radiator, which hints at a liquid-cooling system. Thus, expect to see decent performance numbers from the motor. The exhaust outlet from the engine sits quite tall, and thus, we expect the motorcycles to use a high-set outlet for better water wading capabilities.
Hardware specifications are basic and the bikes use conventional telescopic forks at the front. The off-roader gets fork gaiters for better protection to the oil seal. The rear suspension isn’t visible but it is safe to assume that the bikes use a monoshock. Like at the front, the stopping power at the back should come from a single disc. UM would most likely give a single-channel ABS to the motorcycles.
