The Indian two-wheeler market will witness the launch of a dozen new motorcycles and scooters in the coming months. Four new two-wheelers will launch in India in July, which include the BMW G 310 R, Suzuki Burgman Street, BMW G 310 GS and the Hero Xtreme 200R. Let’s take a brief look at these vehicles.

BMW G 310 R

The baby Beemer has piqued Indian bikers and enthusiasts since it debuted at the Auto Expo 2016. The BMW G 310 R is a naked streetfighter that will rival the KTM 390 Duke and the Bajaj Dominar 400. The bike features the distinctive BMW DNA with the sharp design, trellis frame, and chunky wheels.

The BMW G 310 R will feature standard ABS, digital instrumentation, USD forks and the works. Powering the G 310 R will be a 313 cc, single-cylinder motor with liquid-cooling and fuel injection. It generates a maximum power of 33 bhp and a peak torque of 28 Nm, mated to a 6-speed transmission.

Expected Price – INR 3 lakh (on the road)

Suzuki Burgman Street

The Suzuki Burgman Street is a maxi-scooter that will stack up above the Access 125. The baby Burgman features styling elements from the flagship Burgman 650, and its key features include all-around LED lighting, front disc brake, digital instrument cluster, mobile charging socket and a multi-function key slot.

The Suzuki Burgman Street will feature a 124.3 cc, single cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 8.4 bhp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The engine pairs to a CVT.

The Burgman Street will compete with TVS Ntorq 125, Aprilia SR 125, and the Honda Grazia.

Hero Xtreme 200R

The Hero Xtreme 200R is the latest entrant into the 200 cc motorcycle segment and will rival the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. The bike features standard single-channel ABS, semi-digital instrument cluster and a 7-way adjustable rear mono-shock.

The Hero Xtreme 200R employs a 199.6 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops 18.1 bhp of maximum power and 17.1 Nm of peak torque. The engine pairs with a 5-speed transmission. The bike features disc brakes at both the ends and a telescopic front suspension. Hero MotoCorp has recently revealed the prices of the Xtreme 200R for the North-Eastern states, and a pan-India rollout is to come in the weeks ahead.

BMW G 310 GS

The BMW G 310 GS will mark its entry into the entry-level adventure touring segment and will rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure. The baby GS offering premiered in India at the Auto Expo 2016. The bike features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel with dual-purpose tires, long-travel suspension, and a semi-fairing setup.
