US EPA reveals Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport variant names

After the Multistrada 1260 Grand Tour and the Scrambler Icon Dark, the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) has revealed names of two more upcoming Ducati models - Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro and Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport are likely to use more off-road focused styling with a tall-set front fender and a headlight grille.

The details are very limited right now, but we assume that the new motorcycles will carry off-road biased styling and hardware. The existing Scrambler 1100 range comprises three variants – 1100, 1100 Special and 1100 Sport. Between the three models, only one packs a rugged persona with wire-spoke wheels – 1100 Special. The upcoming Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport may have more off-road focused genes with a tall-set front fender, a headlight grille and a longer travel suspension setup.

The Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport could benefit from more premium feature list comprising Ohlins-sourced suspension setup (likely with the electronically adjustable Ducati Skyhook Suspension), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down EVO and higher-spec Brembo-sourced callipers among others.

The engine specifications will be identical to the current range, and the upcoming Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport will draw 85 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 88 Nm at 4,750 rpm from its 1,079 cc Desmodromic L-twin, fuel-injected air-cooled motor. The mill is linked to a six-speed gearbox. Braking department, similar to the existing models, will use twin-discs at the front and a single disc at the back.

The most premium Scrambler 1100 variant, the 1100 Sport retails at INR 11.42 lakh*. The upcoming duo can arrive in the same price range. When launched, the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport will lock horns with the new Triumph Scrambler 1200 in our market.

The upcoming Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport are likely to retail in the INR 11.50-12 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.

Apart from the new Scrambler 1100 Pro and the Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport, we expect to see Streetfighter V4, Multistrada V4, new Panigale 959, Multistrada 1260 Grand Tour and the Scrambler Icon Dark at the event.
