The Volvo V40 Cross Country is Volvo's answer to the likes of the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and, to some extent, the Mercedes B Class.

The high riding C-Segment hatchback with a rough road package is all set to launch in India tomorrow. Volvo India has started sending mailers explaining the various features of the car ahead of its launch. Here are the set of digital flyers highlighting certain features.

Only one trim level is expected to be on offer. For India, the car will be powered by a 2.0 litre five cylinder diesel engine paired to a 6-speed automatic unit.

The Volvo V40 Cross Country will offer an exhaustive equipment list, not to mention Volvo's class leading safety features. The car comes packed with safety equipment like City Safety Tech, Parking Pilot, SIPS airbags, knee and curtain airbags and whiplash protection for the front seats.

Other noteworthy features are Start/Stop system, powered and heated front leather seats, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors with rear parking camera, and ADD (Adaptive Digital Display) instrument console which offers three driving modes - Elegance, Eco and Performance.

The pricing of the Volvo V40 Cross Country is expected to be bang in the middle of the entry-level luxury segment (somewhere in the 25 lakhs region). The Swede will bank on its long list of standard gadgetry and reputation for tank-like build and safety to take on the Germans.
