Will serve as a niche offering in the market.

Ahead of its impending launch in the coming weeks, a brochure of the India-spec VW Beetle (current generation) has leaked online, revealing all the details we can expect.

It appears that the new VW Beetle will be equipped with features available in the top-end variant, which include bi-xenon headlamps, 16 inch alloy wheels, power retractable ORVMs, rear spoiler, and front foglamps. As for its exterior design, the latest model retains the iconic silhouette, but has been updated to look more dynamic and muscular than before.

Inside, the India-spec Beetle will be kitted with features like a dual zone automatic climate control, touchscreen display, panoramic glass roof, auto dimming rear view mirror, leather upholstery, and heated front seats.

Unlike the previous model, the new Beetle will only be available with a single petrol option: a 1.4-liter TSI four cylinder engine that is capable of 110 kW (147 hp). It is paired to a 7-speed DSG gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel as standard.
