VW Cross Polo 1.6 showcased at Nepal Auto Show 2017

Pooja International Nepal, Volkswagen's official distributor in Nepal, is displaying the India-made VW Cross Polo at the NADA Auto Show 2017.

The VW Cross Polo is the VW Polo's adventure-style variant. Headlamps with a black finish, unique front grille layout with a chrome slat in the radiator grille, distinctive bumpers with silver accents, black side cladding, black moulded wheel arch and rocker panel covers, silver roof rails and silver ORVM housing are the key styling features of the VW Cross Polo. The model on display is lavished with the VW Polo R WRC-inspired livery.

The VW Cross Polo is 3,987 mm long, 1,698 mm wide and 1,483 mm tall. Compared to the regular Polo, it is 16 mm longer, 16 mm wider and 14 mm taller. It offers a minimum ground clearance of 168 mm, 3 mm more than the standard Polo.

Its two engine options are the 1.6L MPI and 1.5L TDI. The 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 105 PS and 153 Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 90 PS and 230 Nm of torque. The model in the images is powered by the petrol engine. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard.

15-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs, ‘Cloud’ Titanschwarz fabric upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, Climatronic automatic climate control, rear parking sensors and 4-speaker sound system are the equipment highlights of the VW Cross Polo.
