The highlight of the VW Polo GTI is its 1.8-liter TSI engine delivering 192 PS and 320 Nm of torque to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG transmission. For reference, the 1.8-liter TSI on the Skoda Octavia makes 180 PS and 250 Nm of torque.

It's no surprise then that the Polo GTI needs only 6.7 seconds to hit 100 km/h, with a top-speed rated at 236 km/h. In Europe, VW also offers an optional Sport Select suspension system that allows the driver to adjust the dampers.

On the outside, the VW Polo GTI gets a honeycomb-mesh grille with red insignia, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, dual exhausts and the GTI badging.
