The VW T-Cross will debut this autumn followed by its launch in European markets.

The teaser previews the rear three-quarter of the VW T-Cross. The rear LED combination lamps are unified by a strip housing the VW insignia. It also reveals a dual tone look for the rear bumper along with a faux silver finish skid plate. Cladding around the wheel arches, silver finish roof rails, black roof spoiler, and strong character line starting from the front wheel arch and running along the sides to the rear are other notable design features.

Sketches depicted in the video reveal a front end with the signature VW grille featuring horizontal chrome fins. LED headlights sit on either side of the grille and superelliptical fog lamp enclosures are placed below in the bumper. The 5-split spoke alloy wheel are different from the ones seen in the teaser image.

The VW T-Cross is the 5-door hardtop production version of the T-Cross Concept that made its first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016. The MQB A0 platform forms the basis of the VW T-Cross. In Volkswagen's SUV lineup, the T-Cross will occupy space under the VW T-Roc. The company mentions the length of the SUV as 4,107 mm. The rest of the dimensions and specifications remain under wraps.

The VW T-Cross' second row will be adjustable providing for to and fro movement enabling owners to modulate luggage space and legroom/knee room as per requirement. Standard safety equipment onboard will include Front Assist ambient traffic monitoring system and Lane Assist lane departure warning system.

1.0 L TSI, 1.0 L TGI, and 1.5 L TSI Evo petrol and 1.6 L TDI diesel engines may be on offer. These could pair with a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, or 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission options.
