Pricing starts at €20,390 in Germany, for the entry-level grade, powered by a 115 PS 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine.

So even before it goes on sale, VW’s board of management for sales and marketing Jürgen Stackmann divulged to CarAdvice that the company will be tripling the crossover's production to 200,000 units annually. It will be built alongside the Volkswagen Sharan and Seat Alhambra at VW's Palmela plant in Portugal. It will start arriving in showrooms across Europe from November, and other global markets in 2018. The car is already available to order in Germany.

Making its world premiere at the IAA 2017 in Frankfurt, the T-Roc is VW's smallest SUV yet. It will slot under the VW Tiguan when it goes on sale. Based on the widely used MQB platform, T-Roc measures 4,234 mm in length, 1,819 mm in width, 1,573 mm in height, and has a wheelbase stands at 2,603 mm. Also available is an R-Line package that spruces up its exterior for a sportier look. It has a 445-litre boot capacity that can be increased to 1,290 litres by folding the rear seats.
