VW Teramont showcased at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show

The VW Teramont has made its Middle East debut at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show in UAE. Originally introduced as the VW Atlas last year, the VW Teramont is Volkswagen’s first 7-seat SUV.

The VW Teramont is the production version of the Volkswagen CrossBlue concept from NAIAS 2013. The VW Teramont has a unibody construction and rides on the MQB platform. The tough-looking three-row SUV is 5,037 mm long, 1,979 mm wide and 1,768 mm tall. Its wheelbase spans a length of 2,980 mm. Volkswagen will offer it with 2.0-litre TSI four-cylinder and 3.6-litre V6 petrol engines. An 8-speed automatic transmission should send power to the wheels. The company has confirmed availability of the 4MOTION AWD system.

Equipment highlights of the VW Teramont are, LED headlights with signature LED DRLs, 21-inch alloy wheels, gesture tailgate, panoramic sunroof, 3-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, Discover Media infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink and FenderR audio system with a 480 watt amplifier and 12 speakers. Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor and Automatic post-collision braking system are some of the key safety and driver assistance features of the mid-size SUV.

Volkswagen builds the Middle East-spec VW Teramont at the Chattanooga plant in the USA. It has started accepting pre-bookings of the new SUV in the Middle East.
