VW Tiguan dealer training begins ahead of launch this month

Volkswagen India has commenced dealer training of the VW Tiguan in ahead of the vehicle's expected launch this month. Images from Team-BHP show the Indian-spec version up close and reveal its interior.

The VW Tiguan will come in Comfortline and Highline trim levels in India.

Volkswagen will offer the VW Tiguan in Comfortline and Highline trim levels in India. LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, three-zone automatic climate control, electrically adjustable front seats with heating function for both seats and memory function for the driver's seat, 8.0-inch Composition touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and 8-speaker sound system come standard.

The Highline grade benefits from 18-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, Easy Open gesture-controlled tailgate, reverse parking camera and ambient lighting among others. Sadly, the 12.3-inch Active Info Display fully digital instrument cluster and the heads-up display, a Volkswagen-first, aren't included in the Indian-spec.

The VW Tiguan will not feature the Active Info Display 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster in India.

The VW Tiguan will have a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine as standard, which will channel power to the wheels via the 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and distributed between them via the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.

Prices of the Hyundai Tucson rival should fall between INR 25 lakh (ex-showroom) and INR 27 lakh (ex-showroom).
