VW Vento facelift snapped again, launch in Diwali - Spied
Gets a new bonnet among other changes.
The VW Vento facelift was spotted on test once again, this time near the car maker's Pune plant. In these spyshots, the Vento shows a bit of its redesigned front fascia, with changes being made to the bumper, grille and bonnet.
The bonnet on these test cars lack the cutout for the 'VW' badge, and also feature two creases on either side. The twin-slat chrome grille on the other hand seems inspired by the Jetta facelift, due for an Indian launch on February 17, 2015. The front bumper on these prototypes appears to be a makeshift one, and production cars are expected to sport a different look.
Changes at the rear extend to a new body-colored strip on the bootlid, and a new bumper with a cutout for the exhaust tip. The prototypes do not show drastic changes to the interior, save for a darker shade of beige plastics.
Mechanically, the Vento would continue with its petrol and diesel engines, the latter being a newly introduced unit. Autocar reports that changes could be made to the gear ratios to better suit congested city roads.
