VW Vento with LED headlights, black alloys spied on test
Launch scheduled for this festive season.
Scoopmeister has posted a gallery of spyshots featuring the VW Vento Highline Plus with LED headlamps, ahead of its market launch scheduled for this festive season.
The new range-topping variant of the Highline Plus introduces LED-powered headlamps with DRLs in the Vento, which is a first in the segment, as well as alloy wheels exclusively painted in gloss black. Otherwise, there are no significant changes to the exterior, which underwent a major facelift in 2015.
The current range-topper - the Vento Highline - will share its feature list with Vento Highline Plus, including features such as rain sensing wipers, auto dimming IRVM, phone book/SMS viewer and Mirrorlink connectivity as part of a new touch-screen infotainment system.

No changes will be made under the hood. The Vento can be had with a 1.6-liter MPI petrol engine, a 1.2-liter TSI petrol and an updated version of the 1.5-liter TDI diesel engine is also expected. A 7-speed DSG is fitted to the TSI variant as standard, and on the TDI as an option. A 5-speed manual is standard in the 1.6 MPI and 1.5 TDI variants.
