Facelift nearly identical to the recently-unveiled 2015 VW Vento.
Volkswagen Russia will launch the 2015 VW Polo sedan (or VW Vento, as it is called in India) despite the production setback at their factory in Kaluga. With Russia's auto industry facing a crisis, VW had decided to lay-off at least 150 workers and reduce working shifts from three to two.
This month, the Kaluga factory was shut down from 5th to 18th to "adapt production under the current situation in the Russian automotive market". Post-shutdown, the plant shifts were reduced to two and was operational on four working days per week. Despite all that, VW is still intent on rolling-out the facelifted Polo to the Russian market. One of the reasons attribute to its best-seller status for the company in Russia.
The Polo sedan facelift brings a host of cosmetic upgrades to the exterior as well as interior, that uplifts the premium appeal of the Polo. Changes include a bi-xenon headlights with LED DRLs, revised front bumper with cornering fog lamps, 3-slat grille, and generous helping of chrome at the back.

The Polo continues to hold on to the 1.6-liter petrol engine, that is available in 2 output states, and in manual and automatic gearbox variants. Prices for the available trims and further details will be announced when the car goes on sale in mid-June.
