Yamaha Fazer 250 (Yamaha Fazer 25) headlamp clearly revealed

Yamaha retails a semi-faired Fazer 250 in Brazil, but the Indian model varies drastically.

New images of the Yamaha Fazer 250 (Yamaha Fazer 25) have been shared by Instagram user Malkeet. The images give the front view of the motorcycle for the first time, confirming that the fully-faired motorbike will get a single headlamp unlike the 150 cc Yamaha Fazer retailed in India with dual headlamps.

The rear view mirror in the Yamaha Fazer 250 is different from the unit installed in the FZ 25.

The Yamaha Fazer 250 is suspended over 41 mm telescopic fork up front with 130 mm of travel and a lightweight link-less monoshock setup in the rear with 120 mm of travel. Brakes include a 282 mm disc in the front with two pot caliper and a 220 mm disc in the rear with a mono pot caliper. The safety net of ABS though may not be on offer just like the naked Yamaha FZ 25.

The front and rear wheel too will be of the same specification, with 100/80-17 and 140/70-17 respectively. Other features like the digital instrumentation, LED headlamp and LED taillamp will continue to be offered in the upcoming Yamaha Fazer 250.

Apart from the full fairing, the Yamaha Fazer 250 test unit also bears new rear view mirrors and a visor. The latter, along with the fairing, will protect the rider from wind blast which is fairly apparent in the Yamaha FZ 25.

The Yamaha Fazer 250 gets the same instrumentation console but sports a taller handlebar.

The powertrain in the Yamaha Fazer 250 will be the same 249 cc oil-cooled mill which produces 20.9 PS of maximum power and 20 Nm of peak torque in the naked bike.
