Yamaha FZ 25 exports from India commence
Indian Autos Blog has learned from India Yamaha Motor that the company has started exporting the Yamaha FZ 25.
Yamaha India is exporting the Yamaha FZ 25 to Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Philippines and Sri Lanka. The company in the first quarter of the financial year 2017-18 has exported 1,163 units of the motorcycle. The bike was earlier also seen at a multi brand dealership in Vietnam as an unofficial import.
The bike displaces 249 cc and gets a 5 speed gearbox. To save on costs the bike gets an oil cooler. The engine is capable of producing 20.9 PS of maximum power and 20 Nm of peak torque. The bike was launched in January 2017 and since then the company has managed to sell more than 11,000 units in the country.
The features list includes LED headlamp, all digital instrumentation, disc brakes at both end and LED taillamps. The power unit boasts of a lightweight forged aluminium piston and a plated cylinder with improved heat dissipation. The thin piston rings promise reduced power loss. A balancer has also been added to reduce vibrations. The front suspension promises 130 mm of travel while the rear monoshock gets 120 mm of travel.
The Yamaha FZ 25 gets a 110/80-17 specification up front and a 140/70-17 unit in the rear. The bike has a price tag of INR 119,335 (post-GST ex-showroom, Delhi).
