Yamaha FZ 25 sales at 11,000+ units in 4 months
The Yamaha FZ 25 was launched in India in January 2017. As per data released by SIAM, the company has so far sold 11,477 units of the motorcycle in the country.
Sales volumes in March 2017 were at 3,584 units while the numbers in April 2017 were at 3,595 units. May 2017 sales though fell to 2,299 units. June 2017 sales slid even further to 1,999 units. June volumes may have fallen in anticipation of the new taxation policy, Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The Yamaha FZ 25 gets a 249 cc single cylinder, air-cooled mill which is assisted by an oil cooler. The gearbox is a 5-speed unit. The engine is capable of producing 20.9 PS of maximum power and 20 Nm of peak torque.
The bike tips the scales at 148 kg and has a ground clearance of 160 mm. It gets a 282 mm disc up front and a 220 mm unit in the rear. The fuel tank can store 14 litres of petrol. It gets LEDs in the front as well as in the taillamp. The Yamaha FZ 25 has a 795 mm seat height and a 140 section rear seat. The instrumentation is all-digital.
Colour options for the Yamaha FZ 25 includes Warrior White, Ballistic Blue and Knight Black. The bike has a post-GST price tag of 119,335 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
India Yamaha Motor is also working on a faired version of the motorcycle expected to be called the Yamaha Fazer 250.
