Yamaha FZ range is the bestselling product for Yamaha in India.

The Yamaha FZ series is the bestselling motorcycle from the Japanese bike maker in India. The sales growth can be attributed to the introduction of the all-new FZ V3.0, which features substantial changes to the cosmetics of the bike.

The FZ V3.0 features an entirely new design with LED headlight, redesigned fuel tank with extensions, a fully-digital instrument console and a revised tail section with a single-piece seat. Mechanically, the new FZ V3.0 continues to remain unchanged. The motorcycles are available in two solid colours (FZ V3.0) and three dual-tone paint schemes (FZ-S V3.0).

As far as the engine is concerned, the Yamaha FZ V3.0 is powered by a 149cc single-cylinder 2-valve, fuel injected motor that generates 13 bhp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. For the segment, the output figures are too less. However, Yamaha is working on a new BS-6 powertrain, which will reportedly be more powerful.

The Yamaha FZ series is underpinned by a diamond chassis, which offers impressive stability and handling. The motorcycle uses telescopic forks and a mono-shock, while braking is aided by disc brakes at both the ends; single-channel ABS is standard fitment.
