Yamaha M-Slaz - 2016 Bangkok Live

Launched late last year.

The Yamaha M-Slaz is being showcased at the 37th Bangkok International Motor Show (2016 BIMS). The motorcycle had its global debut at the 2015 Thailand Motor Expo on December 1 and was launched in the country at the same time.

The Yamaha M-Slaz is the street-fighter version of the Yamaha R15. It has 1,959 mm of length, 795 mm of width, 1,065 mm of height, 1,350 mm of wheelbase, 164 mm of ground clearance, 805 mm of saddle height, 10.2 litres of fuel tank capacity, 1.15 litres of engine oil capacity and 135 kg of kerb weight.

The M-Slaz is powered by the same 150 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected engine with SOHC that is used by the Yamaha R15. It produces 16.32 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.30 Nm at 7,500 rpm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The Yamaha M-Slaz is the most affordable model in the MT-series of Yamaha and it inherits the design cues of the family chiefly the MT-09 and the MT-07. Its salient features include all-LED headlamp, an MT ignition switch in place of a push start-button similar to the one on the said Yamaha MT models, a full-negative LED backlit LCD instrument screen and a 37 mm inverted telescopic fork.
