New Yamaha Mio S scooter launched in Indonesia
Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) has launched the new Yamaha Mio S scooter in the country; and the company has roped in singer Isyana Sarasvati as the scooter’s official ambassador.
The Yamaha Mio S comes with a sleek body design, staying true to its tagline ‘IT’s My Style’. Yamaha claims it is the first entry-level scooter to employ LED headlights. The scooter also comes with answer back system which helps the owner to find the scooter in the parking lot. On pressing the button, the alarm sounds and the rider will know the position of the scooter. It’s also equipped with hazard lights.

Powering the Yamaha Mio S is a 125cc single cylinder SOHC engine with fuel injection. The mill is capable of producing 9.5 PS of power at 8,000 rpm; and 9.6 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The powerplant works in tandem with a V-belt automatic transmission. Telescopic fork at the front and a rear monoshock hold the Underbone frame. The 14 inch alloy wheels are shod with 80-section front and 100-section rear tubeless tyres.

The Yamaha Mio S costs IDR 15,750,000, OTR Jakarta. Colour choices include Special Green, Smart White, Spirit Red and Strong Black.
