Yamaha MT-10 Tourer heading to Europe

The Yamaha MT-10 is a naked roadster edition based on the Yamaha R1.

The hyper naked roadster from Japan just went rider friendly. The Yamaha MT-10 Tourer edition will help riders cover a longer range and will be introduced in the European market by March.

Powering the Yamaha MT-10 Tourer is a 998 cc powertrain which traces its origins to the Yamaha R1.

Powering the bike is a 998 cc liquid cooled, DOHC, 4 valve mill which is coupled to a 6 speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 160.4 PS of maximum power at 11,500 rpm and 111 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm.

The Yamaha MT-10 Tourer gets knuckle guards, a tall visor and a comfort seat. The bike also gets two side cases for storing luggage. The bike also gets GPS support which is ready for optional TomTom satnav. Yamaha though has not yet revealed the kerb weight of the motorcycle.

The bike is suspended over 43 mm upside down forks up front and a link type monoshock. Brakes include a 320 mm dual disc in the front and a 200 mm disc in the rear. Colour options include Tech Black, Night Fluo and Yamaha Blue.

The Yamaha MT-10 will help riders go on for a longer distance with a tall visor, knuckle guards, comfort seats and side bags.

Prices of the Yamaha MT-10 Tourer have not been revealed yet but it can be expected to be slightly higher than the EUR 10,799 price tag of the standard MT-10.
