The 2019 Yamaha M-Slaz has so far shown up only on streets of Indonesia. Its debut will take place in Thailand, though, during the 2018 Thai MotoGP at the Chang International Circuit next month, reports Motorival.com.

The Yamaha M-Slaz will receive the third generation Yamaha R15's 155 cc VVA engine and slipper clutch with the mid-cycle update.

The Yamaha M-Slaz, also known as Yamaha Xabre (Indonesia) and Yamaha MT-15 (Singapore), was introduced at the end of 2015. With the facelift three years later, it will feature a dragonfly-like LED headlamp cluster with LED pilot lamps, a lowered tail with single-piece seat and a redesigned fuel tank with extended tank shrouds.

The Yamaha M-Slaz measures 1,955 mm in length, 795 mm in width and 1,065 mm in height. It has an 805 mm seat height and a 164 mm ground clearance. Its engine and chassis were developed off the platform of the second generation Yamaha R15, which was pulled out from our market just last month.

With the mid-cycle update, the Yamaha M-Slaz will receive substantial mechanical revisions. Rumour has it that the street bike will get the third generation Yamaha R15’s 155 cc VVA liquid-cooled engine that produces 19.3 PS and 15 Nm of torque, and a slipper clutch for smoother downshifts.

Yamaha will reportedly change the Xabre's name to the Yamaha MT-15 in Indonesia with the facelift.
