Dealership-level mod adds three new colour options to the Yamaha MT-15
A dealership has introduced three new colour options for the Yamaha MT-15 - Red, White and Blue colours, all featuring a gloss finish. Meanwhile, Yamaha India continues to offer the naked roadster in the original two colours from the launch – Dark Matt Blue and Metallic Black.

The dealership level paint options will most likely carry a marginal premium over the stock motorcycle's INR 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) price tag. This is not the first time we have seen a dealership offer custom paint options for the naked roadster. The paint is the only thing different and the engine and hardware specifications remain unaltered on these units.
ArrayTo give you a recap, the Yamaha MT-15 shares its motor with the company’s much-successful Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0. Thus, propelling tasks are performed by a 155 cc liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve motor with fuel injection and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology that churns out 19.1 BHP at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of max torque at 8,500 rpm. The six-speed gearbox benefits from an assist and slipper clutch.
Anchoring mechanism includes 282 mm and 220 mm hydraulic single discs at the front and rear respectively, while the safety net features single-channel ABS. In comparison, the YZF-R15 V3.0, which costs approximately INR 3,000 more than the MT-15, packs dual-channel ABS. Shock absorption tasks are performed by right-side-up telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the back. Do note that the international-spec model comes with upside down forks at the front.

The Yamaha MT-15 clocked decent numbers in its debut month (March 15, 2019), registering 5,203 unit sales. Last month, 3,823 units were sold. To boost the sales, Yamaha recently announced free MT jacket or helmet with the naked roadster. The premium price tag puts the MT-15 against the likes of KTM 125 Duke, TVS Apache RTR200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in the Indian market.
