The video shows the bike navigating through city roads. The saree guard seems to be absent on this test mule. The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is already on sale in Indonesia, but the Indian model comes with a few changes to make it more affordable. The most apparent change is the inclusion of traditional telescopic fork instead of upside down units. The rear features a monoshock. The ergonomics is sporty, thanks to the clip on handlebars, and rear-set footpegs. The motorcycle was spied in India for the first time, recently. The front end gets a faux air intake, flanked by LED headlamps. The tail light is LED as well, but the indicators are of bulb type.
In the international market, the Yamaha R15 v3.0 employs a 155cc single cylinder mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant punches out 19.31 PS of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. The engine works in tandem with 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. Expect Yamaha to omit the slipper clutch due to cost constraints. In comparison, the 149 cc engine in the R15 v2.0 makes 17 PS of power and 15 Nm of torque.
