After the Yamaha RD-3, a render that combined the RD350 and the YZF-R3, Autologue Design has created a concept motorcycle that merges two iconic bikes. The latest render, christened Yamaha RX15, unites the mechanicals of the Yamaha YZF-R15 (V2.0) with the design of the two-stroke RX100. The result is a neo-retro motorcycle that looks very desirable.

Visually, the front features a round headlight with a chrome mask. The blinkers get an orange cover and chrome housing that resembles the styling cues of the RX100. The fascia is followed by retro-style instrument console in the cockpit. The fuel tank gets chrome Yamaha logos on either side, while at the top is an old-school style filler cap. The side panels feature the RX15 tag.
ArrayWhile the styling is retro, the rendered motorcycle of Yamaha RX15 is as modern as it can get. It is built around the famed Deltabox frame that underpins the YZF-R15. The sub-frame, however, is tweaked and shortened. The step-up seat mimics a rear cowl while retaining the convenience of a pillion saddle. The seat is followed by a clean design at the rear, with the number plate mounted on the tyre hugger. The rendered motorcycle rides on wire-spoke wheels that enhance the retro look.
The engine of Yamaha RX15 is retained from the YZF-R15 V2.0 and thus what you are looking at is a 149.0 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 16.7 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and 15 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. Disc brakes on both ends provide stopping power. The suspension setup has received an upgrade, and shock absorption tasks are performed by upside-down forks at the front. The rear continues to feature a monoshock suspension.
Similar to the Yamaha RD-3, the RX-15 is a speculative rendering of how a combination of the RX100 and the YZF-R15 could look like. Neither Yamaha nor Autologue Design has intentions of making one. There is no Yamaha RX15 price in India either.
